ושמחת לפני ה’ אלקיך… והיתום והאלמנה אשר בקרבך במקום אשר יבחר השם אלקיך לשכן שמו שם:

(דברים ט”ז:יא)

You shall rejoice before G-d, your G-d… the orphaned, and the Widow in your midst, at the place where G-d, your G-d will choose to establish the divine name.

(Deuteronomy 16:11)

ושמחת בחגך אתה ובנך ובתך… והגר והיתום והאלמנה אשר בשעריך:

(דברים ט”ז:יד)

You must rejoice in your festival – you, your son, your daughter… the orphan, and the widow who are from your city.

(Deuteronomy 16:14)

Dear Friend,

As we stand on the threshold of Rosh Hashanah and the Chagim season, we’re reminded of the importance of reflection, reconnection, and renewal – both individually and communally. For many of us, the Chugim are a time to come together with family and celebrate the joy of the Chugim. However, for the children who lost loved ones on October 7th, this time it can be particularly challenging.

In the spirit of unity and support, we’re launching the “United for Their Children – Chagim Fund.” This initiative aims to provide emotional and financial support to the Orphans of October 7th and their families during the Chagim.

As we reflect on the past year and look to the future, let’s take a moment to think about these special children and their families. May we recommit ourselves to supporting them and honoring the sacrifices they endure every day.

Wishing you and your loved ones a Shana Tova – a happy and sweet new year. May we all be inscribed and sealed in the Book of Life. May the hostages return home safely, and may our brave warriors be protected and successful in their mission.

Warmly,

HaGiborim
